4 Must-see attractions of Harbin Ice and Snow World

The annual Harbin Ice and Snow World in China has opened. This year's Ice and Snow World features a variety of colourful sightseeing and entertainment attractions, such as the super popular Super Ice Slide, Snowflake Ferris Wheel, and various ice sculptures.

The scale has also been upgraded to an unprecedented level, allowing citizens and tourists to immerse themselves in the splendour of the snow carnival.

The Super Ice Slide 

Harbin Ice and Snow World (哈爾濱冰雪大世界) is an annual carnival with an ice and snow theme. The open period is from Christmas to early March of the following year.

Here, you can appreciate various exquisite and spectacular ice and snow sculptures, especially charming with the embellishment of lights at night, as if you are in a colourful ice and snow kingdom.

This year's Harbin Ice and Snow World, with the theme "Sharing Dreams of Ice and Snow, Asia's Unity".

It combines Chinese culture and modern style using 300,000 cubic metres of ice and snow, building more than a hundred ice and snow landscapes over an area of 1 million square metres, the largest scale in history.

As a key highlight of Ice and Snow World, the Super Ice Slide (超級冰滑梯) has been fully upgraded this year, increasing the number of ice slides from 17 to 24, and adding more than 10 snow tube tracks, providing a full range of snow-playing fun for everyone.

As tourists speed down the Super Ice Slide, the lights on the ice surface change accordingly, creating different colors and an exciting dynamic effect.

Additionally, this year, a 300-metre-long windproof warming shed has been added to the waiting area of the Super Ice Slide, ensuring warmth and fun at the same time.

Riding a special sled, you can fly down the 521-metre-long Super Ice Slide.

As you slide, the lights on the ice surface change accordingly, providing such a refreshing and exciting experience that it has become the "ace" project of Ice and Snow World. Those who love speed should not miss it!

The Snowflake Ferris Wheel

The Snowflake Ferris Wheel (雪花摩天輪) is not only a new landmark of Harbin but also one of the must-see attractions in Ice and Snow World.

The Snowflake Ferris Wheel is 120 metres high, equivalent to a 42-story building, with a six-petal snowflake design in the center. When the sun shines, the ferris wheel becomes crystal clear and very beautiful.

The Snowflake Ferris Wheel has a total of 48 cabins that each accommodate 10 people.

Among them, 6 special cabins have transparent glass bottoms, allowing everyone to enjoy the breath-taking views of the entire Ice and Snow World and the scenic shorelines of the Songhua River in Harbin from different angles, experiencing the unique thrill and romance.

The ice sculpted landmarks from around the World

As the largest Ice and Snow World ever, the park is divided into 9 main zones: Ice and Snow Dream, United Asia, East Asia Zone, Central Asia Zone, West Asia Zone, South Asia Zone, Southeast Asia Zone, Snow Mountain Light and Shadow Zone, and Ice and Snow Fun Zone.

First up is the "United Asia" main tower holding the "center" position. This year's main tower is inspired by the official emblem of the Olympic Council of Asia. From a distance, "United Asia" stands like a monument in the Ice and Snow World, appearing sacred and solemn.

In addition to the "United Asia" main tower, the ice sculptures also include famous landmarks such as the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, the Taj Mahal in India, the Merlion in Singapore, the Lusail Stadium in Qatar, the Grand Palace in Thailand, the Burj Khalifa in the UAE.

As well as the Golden Bauhinia in Hong Kong and the Ruins of St. Paul's in Macao, forming a spectacular giant ice sculpture park.

The Snowflake Ice Maze

The Snowflake Ice Maze (雪花冰迷宮) is a brand-new attraction at this year's Ice and Snow World covering an area of nearly 5,000 square metres with a diametre of nearly 80 metres.

The walls are entirely made of transparent ice, combining snowflake and maze elements to create a truly dreamy setting!

Navigating through the intricately designed Snowflake Ice Maze not only requires brainwork to find the exit but also allows you to interact with exquisite ice sculptures of the twelve zodiac animals, making you feel like you are in a magical ice and snow kingdom where every step is filled with surprise and fun!
