In Jun'an Town, Shunde, every year from the 4th to 20th of the lunar September, it's the grand day of Emperor Guan and Prince Wang's travels. The entire town joins in the celebration, with the sound of firecrackers and gongs and drums echoing through the sky. The atmosphere is bursting with excitement, comparable to the Chinese New Year. This traditional custom has a history of over 170 years and has been selected as the intangible cultural heritage of Guangdong Province. In recent years, it has also included other activities such as Cantonese opera, Guan Emperor's Fair, and food, creating a super cultural festival that lasts half a month.
