The Guangzhou Haizhu Tram starts from Wanshengwei Station (萬勝園站) and terminates at the Canton Tower Station (廣州塔站), spanning approximately 7.7 Kilometers with a total of 11 stations.
Travelling along the tram, you can see many famous attractions in the Haizhu District.

Wanshengwei Station: Explore the ancient coastal city in Huangpu Ancient Port
Starting your day's itinerary at Wanshengwei, the Huangpu Ancient Port (黃埔古巷) is an excellent place to kick-start your journey.
Huangpu Ancient Port was a gathering place for merchant ships during the Southern Song Dynasty, witnessing the prosperity of the "Maritime Silk Road" and bearing the traces of Guangzhou's prosperous commercial history over a thousand years ago.
Huangpu Ancient Port is divided into four areas: the Commemorative Display Area, the Ancient Port Park Area, the Food Street Area, and the Village Square Area. It is a distinctive scenic spot comprising ancient architecture and contemporary cultural cuisine.
Those wishing to dive into the history of Huangpu Ancient Port must visit the "First Customs Post of the Pearl Sea" (粵海第一關).
Located just behind the large archway signifying "Ancient Port Relics" (古港遺風), it is an antique architectural complex modelled on historical materials.
Here, you'll also find a ship named "Princess Kuokuo Zhen"(闊闊真公主), which was supposedly ridden by the Yuan Dynasty Princess Kuokuo Zhen when she was married to Ilkhanate (in present-day West Asia).
For those keen to taste authentic local food, there are several well-known old Cantonese restaurants here. Boat porridge (艇仔粥), milk-made ginger milk (薑撞奶), and stewed egg (燉蛋皇) are all signature dishes.
Pazhou Bridge South Station: Water Museum Garden and Pazhou Tower
From Wanshengwei, take the tram to Pazhou Bridge South Station. Along the way, you can see pink kapok trees, bougainvillea in verdant lawns, creating Guangzhou's beautiful "urban oasis".
Getting off at Pazhou Bridge South Station, you'll come across a famous park with ancient village-liked building. This is called the Water Museum Garden (水博苑).
In the Water Museum Garden, you can see scenes from the Lingnan water town, featuring a bronze dragon boat, fishing boats, and an antique water wheel.
Walking across the lawn and up to the small hillside, you'll find an octagonal ancient tower — the famous Pazhou Tower.
Pazhou Tower was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty and, along with Chigang Tower and Lotus Tower (蓮花塔), is known as one of the three towers of Guangzhou.
Pazhou Tower is an octagonal nine-level pavilion-style brick tower built of red sandstone. It appears to have 9 levels from the outside but contains 17 levels internally.
The tower serves as an essential landmark for the Pearl River navigation route and is one of the eight views of Guangzhou during the Qing Dynasty.
Exhibition East Station: Water Park
For those travelling with children, the Water Park at Exhibition East Station offers a variety of features including outdoor log bridges, ropes, and rope nets. Next to it, there's also a skateboard park, too.
Pazhou Station: Pearl River Pazhou Beer Culture Creative Arts District
After it, take one stop to Pazhou Station and you will see a well-known bustling area "Pearl River Pazhou Beer Culture Creative Arts District".
There is a food and drink area located on the banks of the Pearl River. It was once a beer factory; the malt warehouses were showing a history of over thirty years.
This is a great feature of the Arts District. Old factory buildings are transformed into an area with good food, bar and drinks. The atmosphere is fantastic throughout the day.
This is an excellent spot to see the sunset, too. You can spread the night here with your family and friends.
Liede Bridge Station: Capture the Pearl River's scenic charm
Walking along the riverside, you can capture the full view of Liede Bridge, but if you wish to visit on the Liede Bridge, you need to arrive at Liede Bridge Station.
Liede Bridge is one of the most unique sea-crossing bridge in Guangzhou, spanning the Pearl River and connecting between the Tianhe and Haizhu districts.
Standing on it, you can capture the perfect views of Canton Tower, Pearl River, and Tianhe CBD.
Down beneath the Liede Bridge, you can see the famous Riverside Park, is a fantastic place to see the Guangzhou urban area.
Canton Tower Station: Incredible night view on Pearl River
When it's time for the evening sunset, you can choose to watch it at Liede Bridge, or take the tram to Canton Tower Station, where you can see the incredible sunset view on the top of Canton Tower, a well-known landmark in Guangzhou.
There is planform on the top of Guangzhou Tower where you can take the whole view of Guangzhou Haizhu area. You can also take a ride on the Ferris wheel atop the tower and see the even more panoramic views of the Pearl River.
Canton Tower is also an extreme amusement park; you can play many extreme sports here. If you like exciting games, you are advised to take Canton Tower as the first stop to play.
