As Chinese New Year is coming soon, cities all over China are adorned with New Year decorations in preparation for the Year of the Snake.

Recently, a variety of Year of the Snake mascots have appeared one after another, some being exquisite and cute, others being whimsical.

Which city's mascot is the best-looking of them all? Let's check them out!

Recently, various snake-themed mascots have gradually taken over the streets and alleys of several cities in China.

Most of the mascots incorporate local characteristic elements, fully showcasing the unique charm of their respective cities with ingenious designs.

Some mascots follow the traditional route, such as the red "Flower Hairpin Snake" in Yuxi, Yunnan Province.

The "Flower Hairpin Snake" was created by a floral design studio in Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan. The hairpin design integrates the flower hairpin craftsmanship unique to the Blang ethnic group (布朗族) of Yunnan.

In Quanzhou, Fujian, a series of "Colourful Silk Tree Snake" mascots featuring local traditional culture have been launched.

With vibrant colours and vivid shapes, they showcase Fujian's unique cultural elements such as fortune tea, chest-beating dance, and Minnan (southern Fujian) architecture flower tiles, which are beloved by tourists.
