China, a vast country with diverse landscapes, is surrounded by beautiful flower seas with the arrival of spring. Wherever you go, you will find a stunning array of colors and vibrant life, presenting a visual feast of spring.
Today, let’s explore four spring flower-viewing destinations to experience the unique beauty of spring!
Rapeseed flowers in Wuyuan
In Wuyuan, Jiangxi, there are two magnificent seasonal sceneries, namely "drying crops" in autumn and the rapeseed flowers in spring.
Huangling, known as one of the "Top Ten Most Beautiful Terraces in the World," is located in the Shier Mountains of Wuyuan and is one of the best places to view rapeseed flowers in Wuyuan, covering an area of over 5 square kilometres.
Starting from mid-March each year, the area is covered with blooming rapeseed flowers, covering the rolling hills in vibrant yellow. The view harmoniously blends with the unique terraced fields and the iconic white-walled, grey-tiled Hui-style architecture, full of poetic charm.
Additionally, Jiangling is a classic representation of the rapeseed flower scenery in Wuyuan and is one of China’s four major rapeseed flower seas.
The winding roads meander through the mountains, and from a high vantage point, you can overlook a vast sea of over 100,000 acres of rapeseed flowers flourishing in the fields. Surrounded by terraced slopes, babbling rivers, and lush green hills, as if stepping into a vividly painted world.

Cherry blossoms in Wuxi
Yuantouzhu, Wuxi is a world-renowned cherry blossom viewing spot.
The cherry blossom sea in Yuantouzhu covers more than 5.39 square kilometres and features nearly 30,000 cherry trees. The cherry blossoms are generally divided into early and late varieties.
The best period to view early cherry blossoms is from late February to early March, with varieties such as Kawazu-sakura, and Japanese mountain cherry, mostly single or semi-double flowers.
The viewing period for late cherry blossoms is from late March to early April, with varieties such as Kanzan, Shogetsu, and Ukon.
During this period, the cherry blossoms are more vibrant, featuring colors such as red, pink, white, and even the rare green, mainly distributed in Sakura Valley, Changchun Bridge, and the China-Japan Friendship Cherry Forest.
Every cherry blossom season, Yuantouzhu is filled with pink walls and black tiles, surrounded by a splendid array of colors, creating a scene of unparalleled beauty.

Peach blossoms in Xizang
Aside from the southern regions, it turns out that you can also enjoy the picturesque beauty of peach blossoms in Xizang Linzhi.
Every year from late March to early April, Linzhi's peach blossoms is in full bloom. As far as the eye can see, thousands of wild peach trees cover the hillsides within hundreds of kilometers with blossoms.
Blazing peach blossoms spread across the mountainous valleys, competing to bloom, painting the mountains and plains with enchanting pink.
Unlike the small peach trees known as "bi tao" commonly seen elsewhere, Linzhi's peach blossoms are almost entirely from wild large trees, commonly called "wild peaches."
These trees are not only robust and tall but also have an average lifespan of over a thousand years.
These dense peach trees, combined with the surrounding forests, valleys, and villages in Linzhi, along with the annual Linzhi Peach Blossom Festival, where you can fully enjoy the spring celebration gifted by nature.

Apricot blossoms in Xinjiang
Also blessed with the enchanting spring colours of the South China Sea is Turgan Township in Yili, Xinjiang, which has the most widely distributed apricot grooves in the region and is the largest pristine wild apricot grove remaining from the Middle Ages.
Starting from early April each year, wild apricot blossoms turn the alpine meadows around Tuergen into patches of pink and white.
Following the layout of nature, they grow vigorously, delivering an original and stunning visual impact.
However, the blooming period of Yili's apricot blossoms is relatively short, only about seven days. If you miss it, you will have to wait another year.
Therefore, it is recommended to contact local guides in February or March, or consult the Yili Xinjiang Xinyuan County Tourism Bureau, to plan your trip in advance.
