Editor︰Huang Yayan

The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, connecting Shenzhen and Zhongshan, has entered the bridge load test phase, making final preparations for its opening in June.

This world-class cross-sea cluster project composed of "bridge, island, tunnel, and undersea interchange" is about to open to traffic.

During its construction, photos showcasing the "maritime magnificence" of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link have been frequently circulated on media and social platforms.

So, how were these photos taken? In this article, we've compiled tips from some photographers on social media platforms and sorted out the top 5 most accessible camera positions so that everyone can easily capture the magic of this super project.

Shenzhen Bao'an Tiezaishan Park

The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link stretches from the Hezhou Interchange in Shenzhen's Bao'an District in the east to the Hengmen hub in Zhongshan, with a total length of 24 kilometers.

If climbing isn't a problem, Bao'an's Tiezaishan Park in Shenzhen is an ideal spot for taking pictures. The altitude of the Tiezaishan Park is just 204 meters, and it's relatively easy to climb to the top.

This place is originally a famous hot spot for "sea sunset" views. Recently, due to the construction of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, it has attracted a group of photography enthusiasts for long stays to capture the majestic appearance of the bridge.

You can reach the Tiezaishan Park by taking bus M249 from Exit A of the Xixiang Station of Shenzhen Metro Line 1. After entering the park, you can walk up a 600-step stone staircase, and it usually takes only 20 kilometres to reach the hill.

When you arrive at the hill, you should see many photographers waiting at the ideal spot. Standing at the sunset viewing platform at the top of the hill, you can see the city buildings and the sea, as well as the Baoan Airport and the river bridge in the distance. This is the perfect spot to take photos.

Some photographers shared that if you want to capture the absolute beauty of dusk, you need to prepare a lens with a focal length of 24 to 200mm, with a focal length of about 135mm, and you will be able to capture the scene. Of course, it depends on the weather and time of day to get the perfect result.

Shenzhen Xiwan Mangrove Park

If you don't want to climb a mountain, you can also get a good picture of the sunset and the bridge at the Mangrove Park in Shenzhen's Xiwan.

This park is located next to Jinwan Avenue in Bao'an District, close to the Shenzhen Airport and Yangjiang Expressway. The nearest metro station is Gushu Station. This place is hailed as the best spot in Shenzhen for watching the maritime sunset.

Inside the park, you can get a closer view of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Riverside Expressway suspension bridges, and a distant view along the horizon reveals the main bridge of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link.

On a clear day, you can capture the moment of sunset on the main bridge. Photographers suggest using a long lens with a focal length of 420 to 800mm and an aperture of F/8.

The area where the Gushu Metro Station is located is quite close to the entrance of the Shenzhen section of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link. The Qianwan Hard Technology Industrial Park in Shenzhen is located here.

It is situated at the intersection of Baoyuan and Gushu Roads in Xixiang Street, Bao'an District, just a 15-minute drive from Shenzhen Airport, International Convention and Exhibition Centre, and Qianhai Cooperation Zone. This industry park is an excellent place to view the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link Bridge.

From the 9th-floor rooftop basketball court of Building B1 of the Shenzhen Hard Technology Industrial Park, you have a frontal view of the bridge along the horizon, with a wide-open view. On a clear day, you can see the beautiful view of the sunset from here.

Photographers suggest visiting for shooting between December and January, as the angle of the sunset aligns perfectly with the bridge during these months for great photo opportunities.

Owing to its close proximity to the bridge, regular camera lenses such as 27 to 70mm, 70 to 200mm, or lenses with a focal length longer than 200mm can all help you catch perfect shots. Smartphones equipped with telephoto or ultra-telephoto lenses can capture ideal scenes easily also.

Zhongshan is also an ideal place for filming the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, and Dajianfeng Mountain in the Zhongshan Torch Development Zone is one of them.

You can drive or take a taxi to Dajianfeng Mountain and then walk up the hill for about half an hour to get there. Some photographers shared that the trail is very easy to walk, but the last section is steeper, and you need to wear non-slip climbing shoes to make it easier.

When you reach Dajianfeng Mountain, the view is very open and wide. Because of the distance from the main bridge, it's best to prepare a lens of 70 to 200mm, with focus distance around 135.

To capture a perfect shot of the sunset over the main bridge, it is recommended to take pictures in mid-March, late September, or early October.

This is also a statutory area for aerial photography by drones, which can be used to capture the momentum of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link Bridge from a high altitude.

One of the exits of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link is located on Ma'an Island in the Cuiheng New District of Zhongshan City. As a result, Cuiheng New District has become a hot spot for photographers to capture the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link Bridge.

The area around Donghui Road in Cuiheng New District is a coastal area in the eastern part of Zhongshan City. From here, you can see the bridge of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link.

On a good day, armed with a 400 to 600mm telephoto or super-telephoto lens, you can easily capture the ideal pictures.
